The Vatican publishes the calendar of Liturgical Celebrations at which Pope Leo XIV will preside in the coming months.

Pope Leo XIV will preside at a celebration of the Holy Mass on Wednesday, 14 October, at the conclusion of the Meeting marking the 10th anniversary of the publication of the Apostolic Exhortation Amoris laetitia, on love in the family.
Amoris laetitia was published 19 March 2016, the Solemnity of St Joseph, following the two-year Synod on the Family called by Pope Francis to discuss issues facing families in the modern world.
This year, ten years after its publication, Pope Leo convoked the presidents of the world’s Episcopal Conference to the Meeting in Rome to examine and discuss the teachings of Amoris laetitia and how to proclaim the Gospel to families today.
Upcoming liturgical celebrations
In the coming weeks, Pope Leo will preside at a number of liturgical events, including Mass at the Basilica Shrine of Our Lady of Good Counsel in Genazzano, a small village outside of Rome.
The Holy Father had previously visited the shrine just two days after his election, on 10 May 2025. The Basilica is cared for by the Augustinian Order to which Pope Leo belonged prior to his election as Supreme Pontiff.
Later in September, Pope Leo will make an Apostolic Journey to France which will include a visit to the headquarters of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, UNESCO. The four-day Journey – 25-28 September – will include a number of liturgies in Paris, Lourdes, and Metz.
Finally, on 8 October Pope Leo will celebrate Mass for the inauguration of the Academic Year for the Pontifical Universities.
