The African National Congress (ANC) Provincial Task Team (PTT) in the Eastern Cape has moved to suspend the membership of its member in the Dr WB Rubusana Region, Lwazi Rotya. In a letter seen by the SABC, the PTT cites allegations of misconduct resulting in him bringing the party into disrepute.
Rotya is among the members who had successfully interdicted the Provincial Elective Conference from which was set to be held in March. He is also among the members who have challenged the legitimacy of the recently announced PTT in the High Court in Makhanda.
He is yet to comment on these developments.
The PTT has given him 48 hours to respond to this intent of suspending his membership.
