The South African Police Service (SAPS) has confirmed the suspension of five additional senior officers in relation to matters arising from the Medicare 24 tender.
This follows the suspension of nine other police officers last Friday, who served as members of the Bid Evaluation Committee (BEC) in relation to the Medicare 24 tender process.
In a statement, National Police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe says internal departmental processes are currently under way and the SAPS will not provide further comment at this stage.
