Free outdoor cinema screenings, live entertainment and food and drink stalls will be coming to Queen’s Park in Loughborough next month.
Summer Cinema, organised by Charnwood Borough Council, takes place on Sunday, 5 July, from 12 noon until 7pm and combines big screen entertainment, live entertainment, fun rides, and plenty more family-friendly fun.
The public were invited to suggest films they would like to see on the big screen via the Council’s Facebook page.
The film screenings have now been confirmed:
Please note: Films and start times are subject to change.
Attendees can also look forward to live entertainment, free facepainting, giant games, fun rides for kids, food and drink and much more.
There will be plenty of food and drink options available, but visitors are encouraged to bring a picnic along to the park if they wish.
Councillor Jennifer Tillotson, the Council’s Lead Member for Housing, Economic Development, Regeneration and Town Centres, said: “It is great to see Summer Cinema return to Queen’s Park after last year’s brilliant event.
“With a great mix of films, live entertainment and activities for all ages, it’s a wonderful opportunity for people to come together, relax and make the most of Queen’s Park during the summer.
“We’re proud to support events like this that strengthen our community spirit and showcase everything our town centre has to offer. I hope everyone has a fantastic time and enjoys everything this year’s event has in store.”
