Actress Toyin Abraham, has removed herself from the All Progressives Congress, APC, campaign council for the 2027 election.
This is coming a few hours after she was named among 33 entertainers in the Lagos APC Campaign Council.
DAILY POST reports that the actress was named in the list released on Thursday alongside notable actors and musicians like Oga Bello, Bukky Wright, Yinka Quadri, Pasuma, Saheed Osupa, Small Doctor and Malaika.
Reacting to the viral news on her Instagram story, the actress urged the general public to disregard the inclusion of her name on the list.
Giving reason for her decision, Toyin said: “I’m staying out of politics.”
She wrote, “I’m not a member of any campaign council. I have said it recently, I am staying out of politics. Please disregard the supposed inclusion of my name in any campaign committee.”
