Abuja Continental Hotel has received the Continental Excellence Award for Luxury Hospitality Leadership at the Tourism Transport Summit Awards 2026, recognising its performance in Nigeria’s hospitality sector.
The award was presented as part of the summit’s efforts to recognise contributions to the tourism and hospitality industry.
Chief Abiodun Ogunsanwo, Convenor of the awards, said the recognition followed an assessment of service quality, infrastructure and contribution to tourism development.
“Abuja Continental Hotel stands out for its consistent pursuit of excellence. It has redefined what luxury hospitality means in Nigeria by delivering seamless service and creating memorable experiences for a discerning clientele,” he said.
Receiving the award on behalf of the hotel, Richard Mutanda, Cluster Director of Sales and Marketing, thanked the hotel’s guests, partners and other stakeholders.
“We are deeply honoured to receive this award. It is a testament to our team’s dedication and to the confidence reposed in us by our valued guests and partners,” he said.
Mutanda said the hotel would continue to invest in its workforce, innovation and sustainability.
“This award validates our strategy. We will continue to raise the bar, innovate our offerings, and deliver exceptional luxury experiences that position Abuja and Nigeria as a top destination for global travellers,” he said.
The recognition comes as stakeholders continue to seek greater private-sector participation and investment in Nigeria’s tourism and hospitality industry.
