Saudi Pro League champions Al Nassr have appointed former Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou as their new head coach on a two-year contract.

The club confirmed the appointment on Friday through its official social media pages, announcing: “It’s official. Mr. Ange Postecoglou is the new Head Coach of Al Nassr. He signed a contract for two seasons. Welcome, Gaffer!”

Postecoglou replaces Jorge Jesus, who left at the end of the title-winning campaign and takes charge of an Al Nassr side led by Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo as the club continues its push for domestic and continental honours.

Al Nassr have been among the biggest spenders in Saudi football since Ronaldo’s arrival in late 2022, strengthening their squad with several high-profile international stars as they seek to dominate the Saudi Pro League and challenge for the AFC Champions League Elite title.

Postecoglou is expected to begin preparations immediately ahead of the new campaign as Al Nassr target more silverware under their new manager.
