Attacks in Lebanon intensify causing more death and displacement
As the conflict between the U.S. and Iran enters its fourth month, the Israeli military launches more strikes against Hezbollah in Lebanon, killing scores of people and deepening the humanitarian crisis.

A series of Israeli strikes hit southern Lebanon on Thursday, targeting Hezbollah infrastructure.
The attacks came a day after the Israel Defence Forces urged residents to move north of the Zahrani River, warning it would use “extreme force.”
It was the largest evacuation order since a cease-fire took effect on April 17.
Israel and Hezbollah have accused each other of repeated violations of the truce.
Nearly 1 million people remain displaced across Lebanon following the escalation that began on March 2.
Lebanon’s Health Ministry says at least 3,213 people have been killed since the start of the war, without distinguishing between civilians and fighters.
The World Health Organization has confirmed 169 attacks on health workers and facilities, resulting in 116 deaths.
Israel says 23 soldiers and four civilians have been killed on both sides of the border during the same period.
Iran latest
Meanwhile, the conflict between the United States and Iran is entering its fourth month.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it targeted an American air base in the region after new U.S. strikes on southern Iran.
The IRGC did not specify the location, but Kuwait — which hosts a U.S. base — said it intercepted “hostile missile and drone threats.”
Earlier, the U.S. military said it shot down Iranian drones over the Strait of Hormuz and struck a military site.
Washington said the latest strikes were carried out in self‑defence, the second such action in three days.
Renewed hostilities threaten the fragile cease-fire between the U.S. and Iran.
