Benue Police Arrest 10 Over MACBAN Chairman’s Death

The Benue State Police Command has arrested ten suspects in connection with the killing of the State Chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Alhaji Ardo Risku Mohammed, and another person.

The arrests were made during a coordinated operation by tactical teams in Otukpo on Friday night.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Udeme Edet, the suspects were apprehended on June 27 as investigations into the killings intensified.

The suspects are:

  1. Titus Thyodenda, 25 years
  2. Utibe Sam, 20 years
  3. Owoicho Ameh, 18 years
  4. Sunday Useni, 21 years
  5. Sunday Ogbanje, 46 years
  6. Daniel Raphael, 23 years
  7. Adokole John, 24 years
  8. Samuel Ogazi, 32 years
  9. Agbo Daniel, 25 years
  10. Onazi James, 30yrs

Commissioner of Police, Cletus Nwadiogbu, commended the tactical teams for their swift response and professionalism, assuring residents that efforts are ongoing to arrest other suspects linked to the crime.

He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to ensuring all those involved are brought to justice and urged members of the public to remain calm and continue providing useful information to support the investigation.
