Council tenants and leaseholders invited to annual engagement event next month – Latest News – News Updates

Council tenants and leaseholders are being invited to a special event on Thursday, 4 June.
The annual tenant engagement event takes place in the Sock Gallery at Loughborough Town Hall from 10am until 4pm.
Attendees will be able to meet officers from Charnwood Borough Council and ask questions and find out more about the services available. This includes advice on how to manage money and rent payments, reporting repairs and how to report and deal with anti-social behaviour.
The engagement event is open to anyone who is a council tenant or leaseholder. You don’t need to book a space, and people can come and go as they please. There will be free tea and coffee and useful resources.
Tenants can also sign up for various services, groups, forums and events.
Cllr Jennifer Tillotson, the council’s lead member for housing, said: “The annual engagement event is a great opportunity for our tenants and leaseholders to get helpful advice and guidance.
“We have held many engagement events across the borough over the last few years as we appreciate how important it is for our tenants to be able to meet officers at the council face-to-face.
“I hope many of our amazing tenants and leaseholders will come down to the Sock Gallery and say hello.”
Alongside the engagement event, there are also pop-up events being held in the coming months. These are events where the customer engagement team set up a gazebo in a suitable area for tenants and leaseholders to attend and come speak with officers from the council and partner agencies.
All pop-up events take place between 2pm and 4pm.

- Tuesday, 2 June – The Mills, Quorn
- Wednesday, 8 July – Leicester Road Flats, Mountsorrel
- Wednesday, 5 August – Wanlip Lane, Birstall
- Wednesday, 2 September – Altogether Place, Warwick Way, Loughborough
- Wednesday, 30 September – Staveley Court, Loughborough
