Deadly Ikola Unrest: Lagos State Govt Clears All Structures Under High Tension

Barely 48 hours after three people were killed in an unrest at Oja Market Bus Stop along Ikola Road in Agbado–Okeodo LCDA of Lagos state, South-West Nigeria, the authorities have pulled down illegal structures in the area.

Besides the three victims who died on Thursday, many others sustained serious injuries.

The ugly incident forced the Lagos State Government to immediately embark on the demolition of all structures under the high tension line along the whole axis.

AIT.live was at the troubled spot where a bulldozer deployed to the area was sighted demolishing the structures as affected residents frantically rushed to salvage their properties.
