How habitable are the over fifty estates owned by the Federal Housing Authority, FHA across the country?

For some residents of the one in Lugbe, Abuja, what they say is a distortion of the Masterplan of this particular estate gives room for concern.

But the FHA management says advanced plans to rectify observed anomalies are ongoing

Housing remains a basic necessity. And a habitable place of abode is what many residents of any neighbourhood, community or estate- highbrow or high density demand.

For these who converged at a point known as 1Q 3 road of Federal Housing Authority Estate in Lugbe, Abuja, its not very rosy living here.

They also allege that there is a distortion of the estate’s Masterplan, causing the challenges with which they are now faced.

AIT put these allegations to the Executive Director, Estate Services of the Federal Housing Authority, Architect. Nya-Etok Ezekiel.

Nya-Etok says even as the agency doesn’t get money from Federal government coffers, it will continue to strive to deliver quality houses for more Nigerians to bridge the estimated 18 million Housing deficit in the country.
