Nasarawa state Governor Abdullahi Sule has congratulated Nasarawa Amazons on their historic championship victory, describing the team as outstanding ambassadors of Nasarawa State.
The Governor commended the players of Nasarawa Amazons for their determination, discipline and resilience throughout the competition, while recognising the exceptional contributions of Most Valuable Player Effiom Iyaji and Best Goalkeeper Udoka at a state Dinner Organised in their Honour
He reiterated his administration’s commitment to the continued growth and development of women’s football in the state and pledged to address the team’s accommodation challenges.
In recognition of their remarkable achievement, Governor Sule announced a reward package comprising ₦25 million for the team, a 38-seater bus, and personal cash gifts of $1,000 each for Effiom Iyaji and Udoka.
Other players will receive $500 each, while additional financial incentives will be provided to the club’s management, supporters and Nasarawa United.
