President-elect of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya SAN, has assured members that improving the welfare of lawyers will be a major focus of her administration.
In a message following her election as the 33rd President of the association, Badejo-Okusanya thanked lawyers nationwide for their confidence in her, describing the outcome as a mandate to build a stronger, more inclusive and responsive Bar.
She said the engagements she held with lawyers across the country during her campaign provided valuable insight into the challenges facing the profession and would guide her leadership.
Calling for unity after the election, the Senior Advocate of Nigeria urged members to put the contest behind them and work together to advance the legal profession.
She also commended her fellow contestants for their contributions to the electoral process.
Badejo-Okusanya pledged to lead with integrity, transparency, and accountability, promising to pursue policies that will improve lawyers’ earnings, working conditions, and professional opportunities.
