Africa’s ambition to shape the future of artificial intelligence, AI is gaining momentum with the launch of the Atlas Network, an initiative designed to ensure African languages, cultures, values and knowledge systems are reflected in development of the new technology.
The initiative took centre stage at the African Telecommunications Union, ATU Conference of Plenipotentiaries in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital where leaders are also mapping out the continent’s digital future to drive a digital process that will be shaped by Africa expertise and tailored for the African market.
