Nigeria needs skilled nutrition professionals — Academy
With rising food costs and rising malnutrition burden, Consulting With Results Academy has said the country needs competent, innovative, and skilled nutrition professionals.
The Academy’s Founder, Fiyinfoluwa Odukoya, in a statement on Friday, said nutrition professionals now need to acquire practical, leadership skills and industry knowledge to build sustainable careers and improve healthcare outcomes in Nigeria.
Odukoya lamented that many nutrition professionals enter the workforce without the practical tools required to succeed beyond academic training.
“Nutrition professionals are trained to improve lives, yet many begin their careers without the practical tools needed to build sustainable careers, create opportunities, communicate their value, or lead with confidence,” he said.
To bridge the gap, Odukoya said the academy will hold its Consulting With Results Experience 1.0 in Lagos State to prepare nutrition professionals for the realities of practice.
Odukoya, who is also the Founder of YourDietBoy Ltd., said that during the event, the book, Consulting With Results, will also be officially launched.
“This is more than a book launch or another professional event. It is an investment in the future of our profession. We want attendees to leave with practical knowledge, meaningful professional relationships, and the confidence to create measurable impact wherever they serve.
“When nutrition professionals are equipped to lead, communicate effectively, and solve real problems, the benefits extend beyond individual careers to healthier communities and a stronger healthcare system,” he said.
According to him, the event is designed for nutrition students, interns, early-career professionals, practising nutritionists, and dietitians.
Odukoya said the event will feature career masterclasses, fireside conversations, networking opportunities, and the official unveiling of the book.
