Popular Nigerian dancer and hype man Iweh Odinaka, widely known as Poco Lee, has been remanded in custody in the United Kingdom following an alleged assault.
The founder of the Community of Nigerians in the UK, Benjamin Kuti (also known as Oluomo of Derby), confirmed the dancer’s detention in a statement shared on social media on August 24.
According to Kuti, Poco Lee is expected to appear at the Snaresbrook Crown Court in London in September for a plea hearing. Kuti added that he plans to attend the court session to offer support to the entertainer.

Reports regarding the dancer’s alleged arrest in the UK first began circulating online on August 19, though official details about the incident remain limited.
