Pope Leo pays a visit to the Dicastery for Culture and Education on Monday, meeting with employees and staff and encouraging them in their daily commitment and service to the Church and the world.

Pope Leo XIV highlighted the important work of the Dicastery for Culture and Education during a one-hour visit to the Dicastery’s offices on Monday.
During his visit, the Holy Father “noted how culture—through sport and art—has created numerous opportunities for encounter, fostering dialogue via a universal language capable of conveying the values of humanism to all,” according to a statement published by the Dicastery following the visit.
He also expressed his gratitude to employees and staff who work in the Dicastery, while encouraging them in their daily commitment and service to the Church and to the world.
In Praedicate Evangelium, Pope Leo’s predecessor, Francis, described the mission of the Dicastery for Culture and Education as working “for the development of people’s human values in the context of Christian anthropology, contributing to the full realization of Christian discipleship,” and during his visit, Pope Leo emphasized that the Roman Curia is a “precious instrument” for transmitting the Faith, the Church’s “fundamental message.”
At the conclusion of his visit, Pope Leo blessed all those present along with their families.
