President Tinubu Meets Security Chiefs Over National Security Situation

President Bola Tinubu has met with heads of Nigeria’s security and intelligence agencies at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen coordination and address emerging security challenges across the country.

The high-level security meeting brought together the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd); Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede; Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu; and other senior security officials.

Also in attendance were the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed; Director-General of the Department of State Services, Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi; Chief of Defence Intelligence, Lieutenant General Emmanuel Akomaye Undiandeye; and Special Adviser to the President on Homeland Security, Major General Adeyinka Famadewa.

The meeting focused on reviewing the nation’s security landscape and enhancing collaboration among the various security formations in tackling threats to national peace and stability.

It comes amid renewed efforts by the federal government to improve intelligence gathering, strengthen operational coordination and safeguard Nigerians
across the country.
