The Nigerian real estate and environmental landscape received a major boost on Friday, July 3, 2026, as QShelter Limited and M.I. Okoro & Associates formally launched Real Estate Today, a weekly television magazine programme designed to educate, inform, and empower the general public on property and environmental matters.
The press briefing, held in Lagos, brought together industry leaders, media professionals, and stakeholders. The event was jointly addressed by Chief Innocent Meckson Okoro, Founding Partner of M.I. Okoro & Associates, and Mr. Oludare Makinde, CEO of QShelter Limited. Also present were Chief Chinedu Mbakwe, DG, Business Operations at M.I. Okoro & Associates; the digital marketing teams of both organisations; the President of the Property and Environment Writers Association of Nigeria (PEWAN), Mrs. Okwy Chikezie; and members of the press.

A Growing Partnership, A New Vision
In their remarks, the partners recalled their earlier engagement with the media on December 30, 2025, during the signing of the MoU between QShelter Ltd and M.I. Okoro & Associates for the marketing of major national housing projects including Renewed Hope Estate in Karsana, Abuja; Janguza Estate in Kano; and the 2004 Estate by the Coastal Road in Lekki, Lagos.
According to Chief Okoro, the collaboration has flourished significantly since then. He noted that continuous engagement with the public revealed a critical gap: Nigerians lack accessible, reliable, and structured information on real estate and environmental issues, especially on electronic media.
“While newspapers have dedicated real estate pages, there is no television platform that consistently educates the public on property matters,” he said. “This gap inspired the birth of Real Estate Today.”
A Programme Designed for Public Enlightenment
Mr. Makinde described Real Estate Today as a “selfless Corporate Social Responsibility initiative” aimed at supporting the Nigerian government and empowering citizens with knowledge that protects them from fraudulent transactions and uninformed investments.
The programme will feature:
The 30‑minute weekly programme will serve as a trusted guide for prospective homeowners, investors, developers, entrepreneurs, and young professionals.
Bridging the Information Gap
The presenters emphasised that Real Estate Today would address issues such as:
They described the programme as a “catalyst for national dialogue on housing and environmental sustainability.”
Broadcast Schedule
The programme will air weekly on major national television networks such as NTA Network, Arise TV, Channels TV and TVC. For instance, it will air on NTA Network on Tuesdays from 5:00pm to 5:30pm.
The organisers also highlighted the strategic importance of PEWAN in sensitising government and the public to make Real Estate Today a central hub for credible real estate information.
A Platform That Has Come to Stay
In their closing remarks, Chief Okoro and Mr. Makinde declared Real Estate Today officially launched.
“Ladies and gentlemen, members of the press, we are happy to inform you today that Real Estate Today is hereby launched and has come to stay,” they affirmed.
The programme is expected to reshape public understanding of real estate, promote transparency, and strengthen professionalism in one of Nigeria’s most critical economic sectors.
