After a record-setting fundraising year, Florida State University alumnus and longtime supporter Scott Price (BS ‘97; MAcc ‘97) has been elected chair of the FSU Foundation Board of Trustees.
“These past few years have been historic for the FSU Foundation,” said Susan Glenn, interim vice president for University Advancement and president of the FSU Foundation. “I can confidently say the entire team looks forward to working closely with Scott to continue momentum and further enhance FSU’s academic vision, goals and priorities.”
Price, founder and CEO of A-LIGN, is succeeding Christopher Iansiti, who led the board for four years and presided over record fundraising and impact. Chair Iansiti’s accomplishments will underscore his legacy as he hands the baton to Price. Iansiti increased trustee philanthropic investment minimums, elevating trustee engagement and giving impact for FSU academics.
“Chris led us through extremely successful initiatives during his tenure, and I am honored to continue his legacy to strengthen the board’s philanthropic impact,” Price said. “I plan to harness the energy built by Chris as I assume my new role to continue breaking records in the coming years.”
The university raised $235.4 million during the 2025-26 fiscal year – the highest fundraising total in FSU history. Included in that total, the FSU Foundation raised more than $154 million, marking the second-best fundraising year on record.
Serving on the board since 2022, most recently as chair of the Advancement and Donor Engagement Committee, Price has a proven track record of leadership. In addition to his service to the Foundation, Price serves on the Herbert Wertheim College of Business Board of Governors. His leadership, ingenuity and innovation have also won awards including Accounting Today’s 2016 Managing Partner Elite and Ernst & Young’s 2021 Entrepreneur of the Year Florida Award Finalist.
In 2009, Price founded A-LIGN, a technology-enabled cybersecurity and compliance company trusted by global organizations to mitigate cybersecurity risks. A-LIGN provides software and services to ready, audit and test against potential risks. Price is a seven-time Seminole 100 honoree and member of the FSU Wertheim College of Business Hall of Fame. Through his prosperous business ventures, Price has generously invested more than $2.9 million to benefit FSU.
The FSU Foundation is governed by an elected board of trustees, whose members comprise professionals from all backgrounds, coming together under a shared vision and commitment to build successful partnerships within FSU and among its supporters. As the chief philanthropy board of FSU, trustees champion philanthropy through investments in academics.
As the new chair, Price will oversee and guide trustees as they mobilize donors, invest in academic priorities and advance the goals of Florida State University in various capacities. By fostering private philanthropic support and bridging the critical gap between FSU and private donors, Price will help further previous successes to elevate the university.
