Three Nigerians – Tamaramiebi Okubotimibi, Ferdinand Madukwe and thier coach Dr. Sydney Esiri – are at the FIFAe Nations League Continental Championship after making history as the first Nigerians to qualify for the regional stage of a FIFAe tournament.
The regional stage of the FIFAe tournament features the FIFAe Continental Championships, which serve as live, offline regional events leading to the global finals.
Teams qualify for the regional championships based on their consistency points and results from the online weeks of the FIFAe Nations League.
The competitions are divided into major regions, including Africa, Asia, Europe, North and Central America, and South America.
Okubotimibi, Madukwe and Esiri, alongside their teammate, are representing Nigeria at the ongoing regional championship in Casablanca, Morocco, marking the first time Nigerian players have qualified for the regional stage of a FIFAe tournament.
