Tinubu replaces Wike’s ally in Border Communities Development Agency

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of former House of Representatives member, Abdulrazak Sa’ad Namdas, as the new Director-General of the Border Communities Development Agency, BCDA.

According to a statement issued on Friday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Namdas replaces Dr. Dakorinama Alabo George, who resigned to contest an elective office in his home state of Rivers.

A former lawmaker who represented Ganye/Jada/Mayo Belwa/Toungo Federal Constituency of Adamawa State, Namdas served as spokesperson of the 8th House of Representatives.

A seasoned journalist and public relations practitioner, he also served as Chief Press Secretary to former Adamawa State Governor, Boni Haruna.

President Tinubu also appointed former lawmaker, Patrick Obahiagbon, as Executive Director, Strategy and Commercial of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company, NDPHC, replacing Engineer Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama, who resigned to pursue his political ambition.

In addition, the President reappointed Chukwuma Umeoji as Executive Director, Corporate Services of the NDPHC after he resigned to pursue his political ambition in Anambra State.

The Presidency said all the appointments take immediate effect.
