U.S. Open 2026: Site-by-site results from final qualifying for Shinnecock
Golf’s Longest Day needs an ‘s’.
Nine of Monday’s 10 U.S. Open final qualifying sites wrapped, but one remained. Andrew Putnam and Spencer Tibbits played six sudden-death holes — after 36 holes of regulation — in Oregon before darkness suspended play.
They will return Tuesday morning to determine who gets 43rd and final qualifying spot into next week’s 126th U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills.
Three qualifiers were previously contested. Here are all the qualifying sites, including results and links to full scoring (a = amateur; * = advanced in playoff):
