UBTH receives dialysis machines donated by Adeboye, wife

The University of Benin Teaching Hospital has taken delivery of three complete sets of dialysis machines donated by the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, and his wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye.
Receiving the Nefro Renal Care Solution in Benin on Wednesday, the Chief Medical Director of UBTH, Prof Idia Ize-Iyamu, commended the couple for the donation, saying it would complement government investment in healthcare.
The equipment was presented to the hospital on behalf of His Love Foundation, the official global Christian Social Responsibility arm of the RCCG.
Speaking during the presentation, Pastor Bode Olojede said the donation was made by the RCCG General Overseer and his wife to support patients with renal challenges.
He said HLF, as a charity arm of the RCCG, was committed to addressing hunger, health, education, rehabilitation, prison ministry and social enterprise.
Olojede said Adeboye and his wife had also supported national intervention programmes, including the construction of intensive care units and the establishment of Enoch and Folu Adeboye dialysis centres in several teaching hospitals and general medical centres across the country.
Also speaking, the Federal Commissioner representing Edo State on the Federal Character Commission and former Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Hon Victor Edoror, commended Pastor Adeboye for supporting people living with renal challenges.
Edoror, who joined the CMD to receive the medical supplies, said the government could not tackle the challenges in healthcare alone and urged other General Overseers across the country to emulate the philanthropic gesture.
He expressed gratitude to Pastor Adeboye and his wife for their compassion and support for vulnerable patients and prayed for their continued good health and long life.
The donated medical supplies include Nefro 4000 A HD Machine, Nefro Dialyzer 1.8M2, Nefro Universal Bloodline, Nefro Bicarbonate Cartridge, Nefro Acid Concentrate and Nefro Dialysis Fluid Filter.
