Watch: Ian Poulter enraged after nearly being hit by Bryson DeChambeau’s tee shot

Ian Poulter was nearly hit in the head by a Bryson DeChambeau tee shot in the opening round of LIV Golf’s United Kingdom event, and Poulter reacted as most would.

Shock. Anger. Relief. And, eventually, forgiving.

After narrowly avoiding a painful disaster, in which DeChambeau’s tee shot went whizzing by his ear, Poulter whole-heartedly yelled, “FORE!” That cry was not offered by DeChambeau when he hit his tee shot, giving Poulter and his group no knowledge of the incoming projectile.

But as Poulter explained to TNT Sports after his round, “It wasn’t his fault at all.” And, for his part, DeChambeau was shown on camera (though not in the video below) to be apologetic.

Still, “it would have hurt a lot.”
