Nigerian financial commentator Gehgeh has criticised content creator Mavo for allegedly exposing Shallipopi’s financial struggle, questioning what he would gain from making the singer’s situation known to the public.

Gehgeh made the remarks while reacting to the controversy surrounding an alleged private conversation between Mavo and Shallipopi.

“Mavo, you’re a bad person. Shallipopi is like a brother to you; what would you gain from letting the streets know he’s broke?” Gehgeh said.

He described Mavo’s action as a betrayal, arguing that Shallipopi should not have his financial situation discussed publicly by someone he considers close to him.

Gehgeh also appealed to Shallipopi to forgive Mavo, while claiming that the singer had played a role in Mavo’s rise in the music industry.

“Shallipopi forgive Mavo; he doesn’t know it’s with your music pattern that he blew up,” he said.

The commentator further warned men against disclosing their financial difficulties to people they may not fully trust, saying private conversations could eventually become public.

Gehgeh maintained that exposing another person’s financial struggles could damage the trust within a friendship or brotherhood.
