Nigerian Army says graduates of its premier advanced infantry training programme, Exercise Restore Hope 10, will form the nucleus of newly established formations and units as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the country’s security architecture.
Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant-General Waidi Shaibu, stated this at the graduation ceremony of Exercise Restore Hope 10 in Kachia, Kaduna State, North-West Nigeria.
The graduation ceremony of the 1,182 special forces, marked the successful completion of the Advanced Infantry Training Programme, designed to sharpen combat skills, strengthen operational efficiency and instil the warrior ethos in young soldiers.
The graduation comes at a time the Nigerian Army is implementing a major force expansion and capability enhancement programme to improve its response to evolving security threats.

Lieutenant-General Shaibu, congratulated the graduates and reaffirmed the Nigerian Army’s commitment to building a professional, adaptable, combat-ready and resilient force capable of operating effectively in joint and multi-agency environments.
He announced that the graduates would serve as the core personnel of newly established formations and units, stressing that quality manpower, professionalism and combat readiness remain central to the Army’s transformation agenda.
The Nigerian Army says it will continue to invest in specialised training to strengthen the capacity of its personnel in tackling terrorism, banditry, insurgency and other security challenges confronting the country.
