Chelsea give Glenn van der Kraan new appointment, confirm deal for Kaneryd

Chelsea on Monday announced the appointment of Glenn van der Kraan as Academy Director.

The Blues also confirmed that winger Johanna Rytting Kaneryd has left the club to join French side Lyon on a permanent deal.

Recall that Glenn van der Kraan had joined Chelsea as Academy technical director two years ago.

Similarly, Rytting Kaneryd spent four successful seasons with the Blues after arriving from BK Hacken in her native Sweden in 2022.

Chelsea disclosed this in a separate statement via its website.

Reacting, Van der Kraan said, “I am incredibly proud and honoured to take on the role of Academy Director at Chelsea Football Club after two thoroughly enjoyable years working with an amazing leadership team.”
