Niger Tornadoes FC Unveils New Technical Adviser, Sets Continental Qualification Target

The Niger Tornadoes Football Club has officially unveiled Kabiru Dogo as the Club’s new Technical Adviser, with a clear mandate to secure a continental ticket.

Until his appointment, Dogo was the former Lobi Stars, Kwara United, Nasarawa United and Sunshine Stars coach.

He is currently leading El-Kanemi Warriors to face Ikorodu City FC in the President’s Federation Cup final this Saturday.

The unveiling ceremony saw Dogo sign a three-year contract, and is expected to lead the Ikon Allah Boys into a new era ahead of the 2026/27 NPFL season.

Speaking during the ceremony, the Permanent Secretary of the Niger State Ministry of Sports Development, Nuhu Garba, said Kabiru Dogo’s appointment aligns with the “New Niger” vision of Governor Umar Bago, stressing that the State government is committed to repositioning the Club for sustained success.

The Club’s Chairman, Abubakar Kuso, reiterated that the management’s primary target for the 2026/27 campaign is to secure one of the available continental qualification spots, assuring the Technical Crew of the Club’s full backing in achieving the ambitious objective.

Kuso also confirmed that Niger Tornadoes FC will play its matches at the Bako Kontagora Stadium in Minna, revealing that renovation work on the facility will resume immediately and is expected to be completed before the new NPFL season kicks off in August.

The new Technical Adviser, Kabiru Dogo pledged to build a competitive side, capable of meeting the Club’s aspirations, assuring supporters that they would witness a revitalised Niger Tornadoes FC in line with the State’s “New Niger” agenda.
