On Wednesday, 29 July, at 9 p.m. CET, Vatican News will stream on its website, www.vaticannews.va, and on its YouTube channel the prayer and fraternity gathering, Canticle of Peace, led by Pope Leo XIV at Borgo Laudato si’ in Castel Gandolfo. The event is organised by the Laudato si’ Higher Education Centre and the Andrea Bocelli Foundation.
The event forms part of the celebrations marking the eighth centenary of Saint Francis of Assisi’s death. The prayer will be accompanied by the voice of Maestro Andrea Bocelli and by the ABF Voices choir, composed of 164 children and young people from Israel, the West Bank, Uganda, Haiti and Italy.
These young people bring with them different life stories, many of which are marked by war, poverty or suffering. Singing together, they aim to bear witness to the power of art to become a universal language of dialogue, hope and reconciliation.
